On the hunt.

I am heading back to Boston on Tuesday for Christmas, and one of the first things I'm going to do is head to Savers in West Roxbury. It's my most favorite thrift store in the Boston area. I have such good memories of going there with my friend, Cade, during lunch time at my old job. I always find amazing stuff there and it's never more than $7. Pendleton plaids, YSL and DVF blouses, Woolrich coats and Brooks Brothers scarves... I plan on looking for a Native American print skirt like this one Caroline is wearing. I have been meaning to get one for a while, but I haven't really made and effort to keep my eyes peeled. I am officially on the hunt!

Jenny Gordy

God, could Jenny Gordy be more adorable??? Just look at this coat. I have a such a craft and style crush on her.

You should hop on over to her shop, Wiksten and buy some presents for your loved ones!

Music I Love: Justin Townes Earle

"As a southern man, there's two things I'm definitely not scared of: bow ties and white pants." - Justin Townes Earle, GQ Magazine.

The man is a walkin' and talkin' string bean. He's pretty fucking talented too and I feel like he should be featured on The Impossible Cool.

I'm Still Mourning

I was absolutely in love with this dress that the Sartorialist posted this past summer.

So you can only imagine my joy when Kennedy listed the dress above on her Etsy! But to my utmost dispair, the dress was gone almost immediately!!! Sad face sad face sad face SAD FAAACEEE. Sigh. I'm still pretty upset about it. It's the one that got away.

Ruche Lookbook

Most of the time I have trouble finding things I really love on Ruche, but the lookbook is hard to resist! The cozy and frilly socks, tweed, silk, chunky knits and suede... Definitely click on the images to see them at full size - these smaller versions don't do them justice.

This has also renewed my faith and love in red lipstick. I bought some a couple months ago, but it's just not the right shade of red... I think I may need to just bring a print out or a tear from a magazine to Sephora and tell an employee to find the exact shade I am looking for.

Love 'em or Leave 'em

I have found that most people feel one of two ways about Sweedish Hasbeens: they love them or hate them with a passion. Personally, I am in love with this particular pair!

Decorating Ideas

I have a problem. Whenever I move, even if it's to a temporary location, I want to change and arrange things to the exact way I want them so I feel at home. The problem lies in the fact that I probably wont be in said location long enough to enjoy all the time and money that goes into such a large project.

This time around I am trying to just focus on making my personal space - ie my bedroom - the way I want it, which has been working out perfectly for now. Still, it's hard for me to not make my entire living space homey.

Anyway, until I find a more permanent home I will just continue to collect home decorating ideas like the one above from Sandra Juto's home.
