Wingaersheek Beach

I have been sitting on these photos for a couple weeks debating even putting them on here. Having this blog means I put myself (or some version of myself) "out there" onto the internet, but bathing suits and bodies can be a touchy subject.

What made me change my mind? Well, for one, Erin's amazing little post of her looking like a total fox in her suit and the link to a very funny article about beach bodies got me thinking. That plus a weekend with some amazing new lady friends made me every more apreciative of the different types of bodies women have and how all of them are really amazing and beautiful. Not to mention I have been taking every chance I get to escape to the beach this summer so this is actually a very common weekend outfit!

Anyway, these were taken at a beach on the north shore of Massachusetts called Wingaersheek (Wing-er-sheek) which is a small, but very pretty inlet where the Annisquam River meets the Atlantic Ocean making the water incredibly clear and warm. It's probably one of my favorite beaches in Massachusetts and I highly recommend it if you every find yourself in Gloucester.

Such a cute swimming costume! Take advantage of the sun and the beach while you can - very jealous, we just have rain! Boo!
