One can easily miss fall while living in New York. You know, with the whole lack of trees and what not. I haven't purchased or carved a pumpkin since before moving to Brooklyn and I just accepted that I was going to miss out on this beloved fall tradition for a third year in a row. Emily came to the rescue and fulfilled my fall dreams when she asked if I wanted to go pumpkin picking out on Long Island. I was more than happy to jump on the LIRR to Ronkonkoma to snatch up a few funny looking pumpkins.
It was also the perfect occasion to debut this super cute skirt that Illene from Baby Bird Vintage sent me. I've gone a bit plaid crazy this season so I jumped at the chance to add to my growing collection. The bright green is a nice change from the normal reds and maroons I've been finding in most plaid skirts this season.
Baby Bird just put out a really fantastic fall look book (look at those storm clouds!) that speaks to adventures with girlfriends and kitschy road trips, which is right up my alley.
